Acai Berry: The Superfood and Super FRUIT!

Acai Berry: Why you should take it.

For countless centuries, the people of the Amazon have revered this unique fruit for its health-promoting properties and prized it as a source of health and vitality. The remarkable health benefits of açai are continually being documented by modern science. And because of its unparalleled antioxidant levels and extraordinary nutrient content, açai is now widely regarded as one of the world's top superfoods.

Açai is rich in the following beneficial nutrients:

•Antioxidants •Phytonutrients

•Amino acids •Vitamins •Trace minerals

Açaí pulp contains:

* A remarkable concentration of antioxidants that help combat premature aging, with 10 times more antioxidants than red grapes and 10 to 30 times the anthocyanins of red wine.
* A synergy of monounsaturated (healthy) fats, dietary fiber and phytosterols to help promote cardiovascular and digestive health.
* An almost perfect essential amino acid complex in conjunction with valuable trace minerals, vital to proper muscle contraction and regeneration.

I recently started taking a juice blend called Mona Vie, and I can't tell you how big of a fan I am. I don't endorse much of anything, and I am now a HUGE FAN! I immediately wanted more information about how I could incorporate it into my daily nutrition AND how my clients/friends/family can as well...

I take the Mona Vie Active which is an advanced blend of plant-derived glucosamine and 19 body-beneficial fruits, including the Brazilian açai berry—one of nature's top superfoods. Scientifically shown to promote healthy joint function, glucosamine targets mobility and flexibility. Get moving today with this vital formula designed to support joint performance and recovery. If offers peak levels of antioxidants and phytonutrients, MonaVie Active features a synergistic blend that supports joint health.

If you are interested in trying some Mona Vie, email me and I can get you some free samples. I was not a believer or fan until I started taking this product daily and noticed how it affected me, personally! I also will be providing samples at my Boot Camp that are held on Saturdays at 10 a.m. Go to www.getheidifit.com for more information about Boot Camp.

You can go to the links below to find more information about Mona Vie and Dr. Perricone's stance on his self proclaimed Super Food!

Get a head start on your New Year's Resolution!! 21 day CHALLENGE!

Are you ready to make that change?
Are you ready to start working towards that fitness goal?
No, really.
Are you?

It's time to stop procrastinating. Time to stop pushing it "'til tommorow."
It's almost 2010, where are you with your goals for 2009?

Time to stop making excuses.
Time to stop putting yourself, your body, YOU....last!
Time to make time for YOU.
Time to work on YOUR body.
You only get ONE body.
It's time to get fit, and treat the only body you have RIGHT!
The 21 day challenge.

Rules:
1. For 21 consecutive days, you commit yourself to at least 30 minutes of physical activity.
2. You wear a visual reminder on your wrist (Get Heidi Fit band, sm.bracelet, rubber band, etc)
3. 21 consecutive days means 21 consecutive days.
- No off days, no 2 a days to make up for a missed day, etc...
4. If you miss a day, you start over and switch the band to the other wrist.
- If you miss a day, you start back at Day 1.
- Goal is to not take the band off or switch wrists until AFTER the 21 day challenge
5. 30 minutes means high intensity activity/exercise.
-Activity or exercise(s) that raise your heart rate above the resting or normal rate
6. It's a challenge because it's not supposed to be easy...so CHALLENGE yourself!
- If 30 minutes is easy., push yourself to 45 min. or add a nutrition challenge along with it.
(drinking at least 4 water bottles a day, no sweets, etc.)
You are only as successful as you wanna be. You have to stay focused and keep your eye on the prize. In this case..it's YOU and YOUR body! So...are you up for the challenge?
Tips:
1. Find an accountability partner.
- Friends, significant others, co-workers make great accountability partners! Especially the
the ones who are around you when you feel the least motivated!
2. Visual Motivation
- Put a picture or phrase somewhere that you always look at on a daily basis. If you SEE it, it
will motivate you more than just thinking about it. For example; a photo of when you felt
great about yourself or your body.
3. Journal your progress
- This will help you track your progress, and even record what you struggled with. It's an
outlet, so let it out!!

* I started this 21 day challenge 2 years ago when a fitness company came to us with this 21 day challenge concept. I LOVED IT! I saw how it inspired not only me, but my team! It kept me accountable, and that is why I loved it! I had to learn to stay disciplined on my own. I spend so much time making sure my clients and teammates are on track, that sometimes I forget to focus on myself. I've seen this challenge ignite a fire inside people! It becomes not only a "21 day" challenge, but molds into a lifestyle change. That's what I LOVE about it. But 1 thing. You HAVE to stay disciplined and finish the challenge :)
Are YOU IN?
21 days is 21 days til Thanksgiving!
